Sent: Mon, Mar 23, 2015 10:36 AM Funeral services for AMVETS member Lawrence (Larry) Ashford  will be held Tuesday March 24, 2015 at St Paul United Methodist Church, 201 Levitt Parkway, Willingboro.Viewing will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, services will start at 6:00 pm. There will be a DAV service starting between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. AMVETS members will join in with the DAV members for their services. AMVETS members attending are ask to be there by 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Perincheif Chaples, 438 High Street Mount Holly. Viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am. There will not be a Legion Service, but there will be a Resolution read and presented to the family during the service. all Legion members present will stand during the reading of the resolution. At 10;30 we will have a guest speaker from the 8th Legislative District to speak to the membership. Past Commander David McMullen  (Big Mac) was  released again from hospital and is now recovering at home. Post member Robert (Bob) Yancey was in Hospital for three days last week in Phila., he is also now recovering at home. Post member Hayes Wimberly remains at Care One in Moorestown. He is not in Hospital in Phila. Sam Hayes Sat, May 23, 2015 02:42 PM Funeral Services for Past Commander David L. McMullen will be held Friday May 29, 2015 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 150 E. 2nd Street, Burlington, New Jersey. Viewing from 9;00 to 10:00 am with services at 10.00 am. Repass immediately after services. Burial will be at General Doyle Cemetery in afternoon. Comrade McMullen was a Pass Commander and  chartered member of American Legion Post 509. There will be a Joint Veterans Service with the Legion conducting the service. Veteran service will start at 9:30 am and we are asking all members to be present NLT 9:15 am. The following Officers will march up and conduct the service. Legion Commander, Chaplain and Adjutant, Amvets Commander and Chaplain, DAV Commander and Chaplain, NOTR Commander (Golden Rodent) and Chaplain (Hole-y-Rat) and VFW Commander if available. All others members of the Organizations and Auxiliary's will be seated together in the sanctuary, stand and cover when directed by the Legion Commander. Uniform, blue and gray, uniform cap and black shoes or as close to it as possible.  It is recommended that DAV Chapter 27 members in attendance wear the NOTR Dress. The Commander.
