Area School Students Sponsored by American Legion Memorial Post 509 sweep the County School awards this year and competed in the State Competition. Post 509 is one of 18 Legion Post in Burlington County. Rain Searles a senior at Rancocas Valley Regional High School won the Oratorical contest at County, District  and placed second in the State competition. Special Service School, won the Safety Poster  Contest.
Westampton Memorial American Legion Post 509 honored
Westampton American Legion Post honored for high membership WESTAMPTON — American Legion Post 509 was honored for having more than 100 percent membership. The Westampton post was graded at 102 percent membership, which accounted for more than 250 members, according to American Legion officials. Post Commander Edward Baldinger and membership chairman Sam Hayes received a $500 check and certificate from American Legion State Commander Gene O’Grady at the Burlington County American Legion banquet at Charley’s Other Brother in Eastampton on March 9.
