MARCIA A. THIBEAULT

For God and Country

 JAMES E. DAVIS JR.

POST COMMANDER

POST ADJUTANT

MESSAGE FROM THE COMMANDER: Once again I wish to thank the membership for electing me Commander of this outstanding Post for another year. A special thanks to the membership for all their hard work during 2006-2007. However, there is more we can accomplish during 2007-2008. I would like to see our membership make more commitment to our troops overseas. After all, we have been in the same situation/position sometime earlier in our life. Our support for the troops overseas is as important now as ever. What we do on the home front truly matters. There are many ways to let American troops in the Middle East know that their hard work does not go unnoticed, and that they have our gratitude for doing their job so well. Some examples are as follows: (1) Provide support to the Armed Forces and their families, (2) Donate to organizations that support military personnel & their families, (3) Honor veterans, active military personnel & their families, (4) Support families of military service members, (5) Send E-Mail to men & women in the military, and (6) Provide services to those who have lost a loved one in the Armed Forces. Of course, there is much more we can do, but these six things are just a few.

Let us all make sure that Post 509 members support each other in all our annual activities and projects. Remember to make calls and send cards to our members who are sick or who need our assistance. Our help and assistance in our local community is definitely necessary. Let us continue the good work we have done. I am proud to be Commander of Post 509.
