To all Comrades and the Community

WILLIAM L. LYLES

JAMES E. DAVIS Jr.

POST COMMANDER

Each year for Post 509 is like a golden link in a chain.  It is my hope and prayer that the coming year will be as strong as each link in the past and secure enough to hold on to the future.  It will be my great privilege to work with and for you.  To do this, I need your cooperation but most of all your prayers.  Living is a matter of sharing and I am asking you to share in the joys and sorrows of us all, and united, we will retain the strong bond that is now ours.  Further, I remind the membership that we will work diligently with the Ladies Auxiliary of Unit 509 whenever we can.  They should be, and are, an intricate part of our Legionnaire family.  A special thanks to the entire membership for bestowing upon me the great honor of remaining your Commander for 2005 – 2006.  .  .
