David M. Phoebus “Mikey” of Eastampton, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 surrounded by his family at his daughter’s home in Tabernacle. He was 85. Born in Baltimore, MD, Mr. Phoebus was a lifelong area resident. Dave resided in Eastampton for more than 60 years in the home he built and shared with his wife and their children. He was a US Army Veteran and a custom home builder and general contractor. He worked in partnership with Isgro & Phoebus, then Lippincott & Phoebus, and his last business was David M. Phoebus, General Contractor. Dave was a longtime member of the “Esquire Diner Breakfast Buddy Club" where he enjoyed spending time with his friends solving the world's problems. The husband of the late Pearl (nee Mullen), and the father of the late Brenda Oschell, Mr. Phoebus is survived by 5 children: Darlene Turner (Richard Gartz) of Black Mountain, NC, Sharon (Art) Simmons of Beverly, NJ, Pamela (William) Hall of Tabernacle, NJ, David (Kristy) Phoebus of Myrtle Beach, SC, & Glenn (Tamara) Phoebus of Southampton; his son-in-law: Fred Oschell; 8 grandchildren: Katie, Emily, Mary, Dusty, Misty, Trevor, Jack, & Kayleigh; and 5 great-grandchildren: Erica, Lucas, David, Nathan, & Phoebe. He is also survived by his "Sweetie" Ruth Lippincott. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Interment will follow in the Mount Holly Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM and on Wednesday morning from 10-11 AM at the Funeral Home.
